Because I had the Bad Luck tohave been diagnosed with Prostate Tumor earlier this year, we
wanted very much to create a Friendly Web Site called "Our Prostate Problems" that gives, after reading and
searching through , a lot of "PEACE OF MIND" to as many people as possible, who may be affected
withthis problem.
I have progressed quite well, having had the following: Physical
Prostate test, a Biopsy, 2 Hormone injections and finally a Low Radiation Therapy with the insertion of gold seeds
.(about 9 weeks straight). [ Please, do not be as rude as my wonderful wife as to finding what goes in conjunction
with "Gold Finger"]. I will be going to have another PSA test after 6 weeks from my radiation course. I will keep
you informed.
Well, I went to my Doctor (General
Practitioner), on Friday 16th.September,2011.I had a blood test for the level of Protein with a PSA test
about 4 days prior. My result was0.6 so that was very pleasing. The doctor said that only if I had the surgery, would the PSA
level be0.0.
I have just returned from seeing the Radio Therapy
Specialistat the Hospital
that I am going to. According to the Doctor, Now I have to see the Radiology Clinic every (6) six months, to
have another Blood test. This is to check up on the PSA levels. The doctor did say that after Radiation Therapy,
Depending on a few things including Age, they like to see the level below
1.0.
Please remember, that this is an ongoing problem, and we can all help one another, if
